Hey Matt, do you have any screen capturing software?
Because that’s what I’d use for “converting” Flash to video… there’s so much pains-in-the-arse involved with Flash to Video conversion, and I’ve found the most reliable way is to simply run a localised screen capture of a Flash player using a program like SnagIt. :)

Turns out exporting to .mov format from Flash is still the hardest thing to do in the world. I either get the file completely giving up and only loading a handful of frames per minute, or works perfectly fine aside from any sort of panning or tweening or movement that isn’t lip syncing just lagging like crazy. Or the file just completely spazzes out. Or Flash just crashes.

Put the finishing touches on my film today. Just minor stuff like playing around with the effects and the colours so make sure it was cheesy and low-grade and cheese enough but not overdoing it.
Just gotta put some minor changes to my sci fi short and title sequence then I’m set.

Colour corrected my movie today in class with help from the guy next to me (forgot his name). Fairly happy with the results. A lot of desaturation, some film grain over my titles and credits, more yellows for a low grade video look, etc.
EDIT: oops, forgot to thank Mitchell with his help with colour correcting. I knew it began with an M.

Just gotta filter through the masses of unorganised audio and pick out lines and I’m ready to go.
Also, about 40 seconds into my extented iteration short. If it’s due this Friday like John says then I’ll be tying a noose tomorrow..

Extended Iteration Post 1
I’m extending my science fiction short into a full animated short. I’ve developed the concept and character designs so that it won’t be a literal expansion of the trailer. I typed up a script for it during the week. 4 pages long. Hopefully that won’t mean 4 minutes of animation.

I shot some extra footage that I needed last weekend which involved putting on that wolf costume again. Glad I won’t have to deal with that again for a while. I also captured the footage to a friend’s computer so the .mov files are ready to be edited.
